A bottling plant is a factory that automates putting liquids (like water, juice, soda) into bottles, involving purification, precise filling, capping, labeling, and packaging, using stainless steel machinery for hygiene and featuring steps like filtration (RO, UV) and disinfection (chlorine, ozone) to ensure product safety and quality for the consumer. These facilities range from semi-automatic to fully automated, handling everything from raw water intake to the final boxed product, meeting strict industry standards (BIS, FSSAI).
Key Components & Process
  • Water Treatment: Raw water (from borewells, rivers) undergoes filtration (sand, carbon), disinfection (chlorine, UV), and sometimes RO (Reverse Osmosis) to remove impurities and bacteria.
  • Bottle Preparation: Empty bottles are rinsed, sterilized (often with ozone), and prepared for filling.
  • Filling: Machines accurately fill bottles with the purified liquid, often with a PLC control system for precision.
  • Capping: Bottles are sealed with caps for leak-proof closure.
  • Labeling & Coding: Bottles get brand labels, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
  • Packaging: Bottles are shrink-wrapped and packed into corrugated boxes for distribution.
